Mount Shasta Camping & Sundo Retreat

July 15 - 19, 2026
Mount Shasta, California

The Retreat Experience

There are special places on this planet that work on you the moment you arrive. Mount Shasta is one of them.

For thousands of years, Mount Shasta has been revered as a sacred mountain and powerful energy center—a place of vision, purification, and renewal. Many describe its presence as grounding yet expansive, ancient yet alive. People visit to reset their nervous systems, reconnect with what’s essential, and remember who they are beneath the noise of daily life.

This retreat is an invitation to join together, in nature, practicing and exploring with community.

The 4 Day Retreat Includes

- Daily morning Sundo practice at the Mount Shasta Dance Hall
- Group meditation, hikes, waterfall visits, and lake swims
- Evening campfires, reflection, and shared stories
- 2 evening teachings on Sundo and Empowered Living at the Dance Hall
- Unstructured time for rest, play, connection, and soaking in the nature
- 4 nights of camping at the KOA
- You are responsible for your own camping gear, food, and transportation

SUPPORT Team

Greg Vorst, Co-founder & CEO Embodied Recovery
Greg Vorst is the CEO and co-founder of Embodied Recovery, a treatment center in Campbell supporting individuals to transform the suffering of addiction and mental health challenges into soul growth and embodied living. He and cofounder Michael Nolan are creators of the Empowered Living series—12 core teachings that facilitate psychological maturation and spiritual fulfillment. As a therapist, Greg supports clients to discover and undo the blocks to the awareness of love's presence so their inner light can be set free. His work with psyche is complimented by Sundo; a Korean Taoist form of embodied breathwork. In teaching Sundo, Greg assists clients in regulating their nervous system and developing greater capacity to be present to their feelings. With steady practice, people can recover from trauma and develop a profound sense of wellbeing.
Michael Nolan, Co-founder & President Embodied Recovery
Michael is the President and co-founder of Embodied Recovery. Michael completed Bethany University’s Addiction Studies program in 2010 and became a certified addiction counselor level II in 2012. Michael’s work with clients is inspired by pioneers in the addiction treatment field including Dr. Barry Rosen, as well as by the works of John Bradshaw, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Pia Mellody, Brené Brown, Charles Whitfield, and Eckhart Tolle. In Michael's words, "In recovery I have been blessed with marriage, three beautiful children, a stable career, the ability to pay bills on time, and an experience of self-love that eluded me for years. I wholeheartedly believe that a life of recovery and service creates a greater sense of life-fulfillment, purpose, gratitude and inner peace."
