My name is Taisiya (pronounced Ta-‘ee-see’ya). I am an Open Floor teacher. I was introduced to conscious dance in 2011, and I haven’t stopped dancing since. Movement practice has become one of my main teachers in my personal life. I believe movement practice such as Open Floor has so much potential for tapping into the wisdom of our bodies. I have been facilitating Open Floor since completing teacher training in 2019. I am also a registered dietitian and most of my work experience is in outpatient nutrition counseling. Join me for a playful and fun inquiry through movement. While conscious dance is not a panacea for everything, two things are certain - you’ll get to freely move your body and learn something new each time you step on the dance floor.
